An Ninh Số wins bid for EAS anti-theft system for chain of 30 mini supermarkets

The brand An Ninh Số has just signed a contract to deploy an Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) system for a chain of 30 mini-supermarkets of a retail partner in Central Vietnam. The deployment scope spans four provinces and cities: Da Nang, Hue, Quang Nam, and Quang Ngai, with full completion expected in Q2/2026.

Combining RF and AM Technology for Two Product Groups

After a practical survey, An Ninh Số’s technical team proposed a hybrid solution combining two popular EAS technology standards: RF (Radio Frequency) for fast-moving consumer goods — soft labels applied directly to packaging, low cost suitable for large volumes; and AM (Acousto-Magnetic) for high-value items such as imported wine and premium cosmetics — using reusable hard tags, with more accurate detection in metal-interference environments.

At each exit, detection gates are installed according to standard detection area measurements: over 1.6 meters high and a maximum of 90 cm wide for single aisles, ensuring the scan zone covers customers entering and exiting without creating a feeling of being “scrutinized” — a customer experience factor that An Ninh Số always prioritizes in retail solutions.

Deployment in 3 Phases

The project is divided into three clear phases: phase 1 pilots at 5 stores to fine-tune detection thresholds and operational procedures; phase 2 simultaneously deploys at 20 stores with a three-pronged technical team (installing gates, applying labels, training staff); phase 3 completes the remaining 5 stores along with the full handover of operational documents to the chain’s operations department.

Notably, An Ninh Số considers the staff training phase as the decisive factor for long-term success rate. The technical team provides instructional videos, alarm handling procedure manuals, and procedures for removing tags from high-value items — all in practical Vietnamese, avoiding stiff translations from foreign manufacturers.

Real ROI from Similar Projects

According to data from EAS projects that An Ninh Số has deployed for supermarket chains over the past three years, the shrinkage rate decreases by 60–80% within the first six months after stable operation. For retail chains with thin profit margins, this represents a significant recovery — typically, the investment in detection gates pays for itself within 8–14 months depending on the product category.

This project follows more than 50 retail points that An Ninh Số has deployed in 2025, reinforcing the brand’s position among the leading EAS solution providers in Vietnam and affirming its after-sales commitment: 24-month warranty, technical response within 24 hours at six nationwide offices.
